Welcome to here&nowphotography's blog - this is where you'll find sneak peeks of client photo sessions as well as the photography I do outside of client sessions. This is the space for me to share my latest work, thoughts, inspiration, and the occasional song and/or poem. Yes, in addition to building my professional photography business, I am also at work on a Master's of Fine Arts in poetry. A lot of people ask me why in the world I am going to school for
that - and the answer is the same reason I do photography - because I love it. Deeply.
You should know that I'm not interested in
taking pictures but in
making art, in
creating. My style is photojournalistic, which means that I won't ask you to pose for the entire session-- instead, I'll ask you to be yourself, do what you do (because I believe that's when you're most beautiful).
And I love love love working with the sunlight - it's my best friend.
I live in Big Lake, Minnesota, and serve surrounding areas but also love to travel! When I'm not creating either through photography or poetry, I'm running around the yard (or in the house) with my 2-year-old daughter, Evelyn. She's my other best friend.
